Carnival Cruise Lines is a member of the exclusive World’s Leading Cruise Lines alliance which also includes Holland America Line, Cunard Line, Princess Cruises, Seabourn Cruise Line, Costa Cruises and Windstar Cruises.

Carnival Cruises began in 1972 with a converted transatlantic ocean liner by Ted Arison who was a pioneer in the modern cruise industry. Ted Arison's vision was to bring the vacation experience of cruising to the average person. Interestingly in 1975 Carnival purchased the Empress of Britian which wasw later to beocome Thomson Topaz and my cruise experience in the Carribean.

Carnival was launched with a converted transatlantic ocean liner and a dream of entrepreneur Ted Arison, a pioneer in the modern-day cruise industry who set out to realize his vision of making a vacation experience once reserved for the very rich accessible to the average person.
