first daily international scheduled air service between London and Paris.

- British Airways was the first commercial airline to introduce a revolutionary ‘flat
bed’ in 1996.
- At the end of 2004 the fleet strength was 293 aircraft
- British Airways for year ending 2004 operated 57 Boeing 747-400
